What happens when you hit the 5 events/month cap, and how to upgrade in one click.

What hitting the cap looks like

Base Corporate includes up to 5 private events per calendar month. When you try to create the (6)th event of the month:

• Your existing events keep working normally — nothing about the events already published changes.
• The submit form opens an upgrade modal instead of saving. The modal explains the cap and offers a one-click upgrade to Corporate Unlimited ($299/mo).
• Server-side, if a race sneaks a 6th event past the client (e.g. two teammates hitting Submit at once), the extra event lands with status: "cap-blocked". It doesn't appear in browse, search, or the dashboard until its status is changed.

How to upgrade

1. When the cap modal opens, click Upgrade to Unlimited — $299/mo.
2. Stripe Checkout opens with the Unlimited plan pre-selected. Complete checkout with your card.
3. Stripe redirects you back. The upgrade is immediate — your next event goes through with no cap.

How the cap resets

The cap resets on the 1st of each calendar month (UTC), regardless of when in the month you signed up or upgraded. If you're running near the limit consistently, Unlimited is the right tier.

Downgrading later

You can downgrade from Unlimited back to Corporate — email support and we'll flip the tier at the end of your paid month. Your existing events stay live. The cap will apply from the next calendar month forward.
